The Mechanical Engineer I role is responsible for creating 3D models of parts and assemblies, performing analyses or studies, creating engineering drawings, creating design documentation, assisting with prototype or production builds, preparing cost analysis, product quotations, and project schedules, presenting or demonstrating designs to customers, and working with suppliers.
‘ Review customer requests, design appropriate solutions and develop drawings, costing, and product quotations
‘ Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts to implement them throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
‘ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical or Agricultural Engineering
‘ 2+ years of engineering experience
‘ Experience with SolidWorks, Office Suite,
‘ Familiar with quality manufacturing systems. (i.e. ISO, 6 sigma, APQP, etc)
‘ Design for manufacturability, assembly, and weldability
‘ Ability to work independently/self-directed and as a member of a team
‘ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
‘ Strong work ethic, transparency, and integrity
‘ Desire to work on a variety of projects
‘ Keeps abreast of new development, materials, competitive products, etc. Assist in sales and service as necessary
‘ May supervise work activities of designers, draftspersons and technicians assigned to the project
‘ Must be able to create and analyze component, system level or complete product design with individual initiative.
‘ Has demonstrated a high level of productivity, competency, and technical aptitude in the execution of duties and be detail oriented, meticulous and customer driven
‘ Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to complete complex problem solving
‘ Certified Weld Inspector is preferred
‘ Ability to apply principles of logic and scientific thinking to practical problems
