The role of the Engineering Technician is to support the Engineering department in process and product validation. Activities including but not limited to prototype builds, crimp validations, testing/troubleshooting, and time studies will be a part of day to day work. Although tasks may be related to or support current production work, all assignments will come from the Engineering Manager to ensure priorities are maintained.
‘ Assists engineering team in setup and implementation of new tooling
‘ Performs experiments and time studies
‘ Builds prototypes and samples for use by engineering in product/process validation
‘ Supports testing and troubleshooting of product
‘ Operates equipment necessary to produce prototype product or perform tooling validation
‘ Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS
‘ Minimum 5 years’ experience in related assembly processes
‘ Proficient print reading ability; specifically, with schematics and assembly drawings
‘ Must have good interpersonal skills as well as proficient communication and writing skills
‘ Ability to switch between multiple projects throughout the day while maintaining an organized workspace
‘ Proficiency with MS Office products such as Word and Excel are preferred.
