Job Description: Fits and assembles components according to prints or sketches to construct, rebuild and repair special machines and equipment using hand tools and power tools. Aligns components for assembly and assembles parts using hand tools. Verifies conformance of parts to prints using measuring instruments. Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts using measuring instruments. Assembles, sets up and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance. Forms and fastens pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures and attachments required to service machine with air, water and oil. Debugs assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems

Responsibilities:

Competencies/Experience:
A degree in Automation Technology, Automated Machinery Systems or similar vocational training - or equivalent 5+ years experience in the industry ELECTRICAL SKILLS: Good understanding of AC and DC electricity Electrical troubleshooting skills Knowledge in PC/PLC controlled machinery Understanding of PLC ladder logic Efficient panel layout and wiring skills Ability to read electrical schematics Knowledge of electromechanical devices A driving desire to do your best possible work as a member of a highly collaborative team
